Goals in this unit include:​

  • Review Anatomy of Balancing Poses ​

  • Practice and learn along with the Balancing Asana video

  • Practice and learn Candle Breath pranayama

  • Meditation: Heart Meditation

  • Practice Sanskrit with audios with this link 
     

Homework in addition to the videos:

  • Anatomy worksheet: Balance Poses

  • Design and practice teach a 30-35 min sequence with standing poses, forward bends, backbends, twists and balance poses and upload video for mentor.

Journal: 

Reflect on the balance between different areas of your life including self care, sleep, work, friends, family, nutrition, fitness, relaxation, and anything else that is important to you.  How does the balance between these elements feel in your life right now? Is there anything that could use a little more or less attention? 

What helps you feel balanced? Keep in mind, balance is ever changing. We do not achieve balance as a fixed point, it shifts and changes much like the seasons!
